Let’s Hunt on Product Hunt

Each week I round up the best product on Product Hunt for you to check out. There are dozens of new podcasts, hundreds of new apps, and many more products launched on Product Hunt Each week. It’s hard to keep up, but luckily for you, I spend most my day lurking on the site. There were many more hunts I wanted to include, but these were the top ones I loved.

If you don’t know what Product Hunt is, I wrote a little description to help you understand:

Product Hunt is a service where you can share and discover new products. The site was founded by Ryan Hoover in November of 2013, with funding from Y Combinator. The basis of the site is users submit a fresh podcast, an innovative app, other tech products, or wild gadgets. From there other users upvote the products onto the front page. The whole process feels a lot like Reddit but with a focus towards discovering products within the technology community.

I’m active on Product Hunt as @leonhitchens, where you can follow me!

Let’s hunt together!

Cableyoyo

Organizing your headphone cables isn’t an easy task. Apple offers a way to organize the earpods, but the container isn’t a quick fix. The Cableyoyo is an easy and quick way to keep your headphones from getting tangled in your pocket or backpack, and the case is super easy to use. The magnetic case wraps the cable up smoothly and ensures you won’t ever have to worry about those pesky wires.

Das Keyboard 5Q

A cloud-connected keyboard? The Das Keyboard 5Q is a mechanical keyboard which lets you change the RGB colors of each key based on your liking or to sync with notifications. The keyboard lets you change the color of the keys based on notifications, so you’re always able to see what’s going on even if you have notifications off. The keyboard also works with IFTTT and Zapier, meaning you could turn your lights off with the press of a key. It’s a crazy idea that you’d link someone would have come up with. I do have privacy concerns, but they’re likely mute.

FiveThirtyEight App

I love reading articles on FiveThirtyEight, but the mobile site isn’t the most useful. I also don’t like clicking through links on Facebook or Twitter because I miss a lot of articles. The app is a great resource to read, bookmark, and view all the articles. The app was taken down by the website, but the idea is great, and I managed to download it before it was taken down.

Emoji Pool Floats

Enjoy the summer pool time with some emoji pool floats. You can grab an eggplant, poop, fire, 100, and sunglasses face emoji for only $35! The floats are unique, one of a kind, and relatively cheap! Compared to a donut float these things make the donut floats feel so 2015! You can grab these floats on Product Hunt now, and get them in a few days.

Type Anything

Google Fonts is a go-to place for fonts, but Type Anything is another great alternative. This tool lets you type out an article, website content, or other content and preview it based on the font you choose. This allows you to see how your content looks on the web, and without any extra coding or workarounds. The website then has a way to generate a code for your site. It’s a great tool to change fonts that look great!

#Stickers

#Stickers is Twitter’s answers to all its problems. The stickers go on pictures you upload to Twitter, a lot like how Snapchat now has stickers. You can put sunglasses on a cat, or add other cool stickers to your images. Then you can see a timeline of other #sticker images on the service. It’s not a great tool, but it’s something fun and interesting to share on Twitter.
